Albert Nixon “Nick” Richter Jr. passed away on March 19. Nick was born on April 29, 1934 in Gonzales to Albert Nixon Richter Sr. and Ruth Ann Ronshausen. He married Elizabeth Ann Price on April 20, 2009 in Luling.

Nick worked as an oil field pumper for a living.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Jimmie Maxine Murphy, one grandson Lyle Cheatham and three sisters Elyse Richter, Peggy Ann Wiley and Mary Ella Gibson

He is survived by his spouse Ann Richter of Luling, daughters Jimmie Maxine and Ross Cheatham of Luling, Leanne and Mark Ferguson of Luling, Lee Ann and Roy Dunn of Round Rock and Holly Kay and Paul Carlson of Victoria, sons Nixon and Lynette Richter III of Luling and Tommy Clyde and Carol Richter of Glidden, one sister Edith Estelle Warren of Gonzales, 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Services were held on March 22 at O’Bannon Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Toungate officiating at 2 p.m. Burial followed at Luling Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Urban Seay, Larry Smith, Bubba Damon, Bobby Rollert, Scotty Martin and Gordon Barnett. Honorary pallbearers were Bear Bairrington and Ben Rollert.
