Alice Marie Yeager Isbell

Alice Marie Yeager Isbell born on Nov. 15, 1932 and went home to our Lord and savior on Feb. 26. Alice graduated from Iola High School in 1952. She was the first to graduate high school in her family.

She was very happily married to the love of her life Clyde Tilman Isbell Sr. for over 55 years. Mom and Dad were members of the Austin Roadriders Motorcycle Club for over 20 years and traveled the United States like easy riders on two wheels.

One of her favorite sayings when she saw motorcycles with a smile on her face was, “That should be me and dad.”

She worked at the Austin Police department for more than 30 years and was loved by every officer she came in contact with.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Tilman Isbell Sr., her parents and five siblings.

She is survived by two sisters Dorothy Conner and Rehba Burge. She is also survived by her five children, Kathy Diane Brooks and husband Chuck, Yvonne  Thomas and husband Charles, Sherry Ann Cooper and husband Jim, Clyde “Bubba” Isbell Jr., and Peggy Loraine Morales and husband Carlos, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Gonzales. She loved her Lord and church family. They loved seeing her walk in with her beautiful smile, hands raise in praise and worship. Her smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

A homegoing celebration will be held Thursday Feb. 28 at Eastside Baptist Church, 701 Seydler St. Gonzales, Texas at noon. There will be a reception after the service.

Burial will be held on Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Cook Walden Capital Parks, 14501 N I35 Pflugerville. Bro. Robert Ramirez will be officiating services. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Brooks, Michael Isbell, Jerald Isbell, Jerald Isbell, Sidney Isbell, Jimmy Cooper and Kevin Cokendolpher.
