Alicia Gomez Clary

On the morning of July 19, 2016, Alicia passed away in her home in Anchorage, Alaska. She was 41.

Alicia Gomez Clary was born in Albuquerque, N.M. on Dec. 8, 1974. She grew up in New Mexico, Gonzales, Oregon and Mexico. She moved to Alaska in 1995 and served in the Air National Guard for several years.

While in college and working at Round Table Pizza, she met her future husband, Everett. They married in 1999 and welcomed a son to the family in 2000.

Alicia was a devoted wife and mother. She read avidly, loved animals and enjoyed artistic pursuits including painting and knitting. She had an adventurous spirit, intense curiosity and was strikingly perceptive of others. After years of struggle and suffering, she succumbed to bipolar depression.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Temple Clary; son, Everett Christopher Clary; daughter from a previous marriage, Lindsy Lierman-Gann and husband Jonathan Gann; grandmother, Audrey Irle; mother, Lynda I. Moreno and step-father, Ramiro Moreno; father, Manuel Gomez; brother, Gabriel Gomez and wife, Sarah; and sister, Isabella K. McDonald and husband, Alfred.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 22 at 3 p.m. at the Witzleben Legacy Funeral Home, 1707 S. Bragsaw St. in Anchorage.
