Amada Isabel McCarty

Amada Isabel McCarty, 36, of Gonzales, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18. Amada was born Dec. 5, 1981 in Austin to Lebrado Max Nuncio and Gloria Mata Nuncio. She married Ramon Vera Jr. on Feb. 14, 2014 in Gonzales.

Amada attended the First Baptist Church of Gonzales and was active in the children’s youth group called AWANAS. She also worked as a patient caregiver in home health.

Amada is survived by her husband, Ramon Vera Jr. of Gonzales, mother, Gloria Nuncio of Gonzales, daughters, Tabitha Lee McCarty and Payton Sky McCarty both of Cypress, sons, Nehemiah Mata and Ramon Mata-Vera both of Gonzales, sisters, Jeneva Bruce, Kristie Michelle Flores both of Gonzales, Vida Leigh Alarcon and husband Salvador of Austin, brother Robert Paul Flores Jr. of Gonzales, and 10 nieces and nephews.

Amada was preceded in death by her father, Lebrado Max Nuncio.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Chris Irving officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Israel Vera, Robert Flores, Abel Hernandez, Noah Flores, Mark Mata, and Marcelino Mata. Honorary Pallbearers: Jared Bolton, Sal Alarcon, Joselyn Hightower, and Dominic Gonzales.
