Anita (Teresa) Castellanos Vargas

Our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother and a friend to all, Anita (Teresa) Castellanos Vargas went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Anita (Teresa) Castellanos Vargas was born to the late Theodor Lopez and Rita Castellanos Lopez. She was born in San Carlos Coahuila, Mexico on June 11, 1941.

She was preceded in death by her mother (Rita Castellanos Lopez) and father (Theodor Lopez), her husband, Joe Vargas and two brothers; Theodor Lopez and Lorenzo Lopez.

She is survived by her adoring family; daughter, Adreanna Vargas of Waelder, Texas, son and daughter-in-law; Joe Jr. and Deanne Vargas of Waelder, Texas, son and daughter-in-law; Valente and Noemi Vargas of Waelder, Texas, son; Dimas Vargas of Waelder, Texas, son and daughter-in-law; Armando and Priscilla Vargas of San Antonio, Texas, 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, six sisters, Lupe Lopez, Rosalva Lopez, Eleia Lopez all from Mexico; Maria Lopez from Slaton, Texas, Eva Lopez and Lydia Lopez from San Antonio, Texas.

Pallbearers: Grandchildren; Jose Vargas III, Christian Vargas, Giovanni Vargas, Dimas Vargas Jr., Theodor Vargas and Armando Roble, Jr.

Viewing will be on Friday, Feb. 7 from 6-8 p.m. at Iglesia Bautista Memorial, 203 E. Ave E, Waelder, Texas Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. at Iglesia Bautista Memorial, Pastor Daniel Martinez officiating, with interment at Iglesia Bautista Memory Cemetery, S. Railroad St., Waelder, Texas.
