Anna J. Bond

Anna J. Bond, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston. She was born on Sept. 10, 1930 in Gonzales, Texas to Homer and Hattie Burke. She married Alan Neil Bond on July 3, 1949. She had 2 wonderful boys, Robert G (Gordy) Bond and Barry A. Bond. Her daughters-in-law are Steffanie L.H. Bond and Vickie Bond. She has four grandchildren; Beth Bond, Andrew Bond, Austin Bond and Taylor Bond and one great-grandchild Cody Gordon Bond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Neil Bond and her beloved son, Robert Gordon Bond.

She truly loved life. Her first love was for her family and grandchildren. She loved getting together for a lunch out and laughing and having a great time. Gardening was also a tremendous part of her life. She had the greenest of thumbs and her yard was breathtaking. She also loved her good friends and going on outings with them. She truly had the best of friends! She was an exercise enthusiast. She loved her exercise and she did it most every day.

She leaves her son, Barry and wife Steffanie and daughter-in-law Vickie Bond and all of her grandchildren. She also leaves her beloved sister, Mary Frances Sunday and husband, Bob Sunday and her niece, Bobbi Treacy and husband Bob Treacy, and Burke Sunday and wife Mary Cay Sunday.

There will be a visitation on Monday, July 22 from 5-7 p.m. at the Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas and a graveside service at 10 a.m. on July 23 at the family cemetery in Gonzales, Texas.
