Apache 7-on-7 advances to state tournament

Pictured is the Gonzales Apaches 7-on-7 team that will be making its first appearance in the Division II 7-on-7 state tournament at the end of the month after qualifying at a tournament in Cuero. The Apaches went 2-1 in pool play, losing to Hallettsville 32-20 but then beating Bay City 32-26 and La Grange 46-30. The Apaches then beat Columbus 28-14 to qualify for the state tournament. The Division II tournament takes place June 28-29.
