Apache flames bring home awards

The Apache Flames competed at the Crowd Pleasers Dance Competition held at Seguin High School. They competed against 30 teams and over 1000 dancers, with the team bringing home multiple awards.

Soloist Julienne Morales, Brianna Ramos and Isabel Vela won superior soloist medals.

The duet of Maezi Alford and Kayla Estrada was awarded a superior Pin.

The officer line was awarded: Best in Class Officer Novelty routine and Officer Superior Performance.

The team won: second runner up in Team Hip Hop, first runner up in Team Jazz and first runner up Team Pom.  

They also earned the Academic Achievement award.

The Apache Flames won the team superior sweepstakes and was awarded first runner up overall as a team.

After the competition, the Apache Flames earned an invitation to perform at nationals on March 23 and 24 in San Antonio while also receiving an invitation to perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York November 2018 and the Citrus Bowl in Orlando Florida December 2018.
