Apache Flames win ‘national champions’ at showcase

The Apache Flames Dance team recently competed at the Crowd Pleasers Dance Competition held in San Antonio. The team brought home numerous awards.
Soloists Isabel Vela, Brianna Ramos, Julienne Morales and Mikaela Klein all won superior solo medals.
The officer line of Colonel Isabel Vela, General Wendy Lopez, 1st Lt. Julienne Morales, 2nd Lt. Kayla Estrada, and social officers Brianna Ramos and Trinity James were awarded National Superior Officer group overall and National Champion in the officer jazz category.
The team also earned the following awards:

  • National Champions in Team Jazz
  • National Champions in Team Pom
  • National Champions in Team Hip Hop
  • National Champions in Team open
  • National Super Sweepstakes team
  • 1st Runner up team overall
  • National Champions overall of the team open division
