Apaches place 2nd in holiday tournament

The Gonzales Apaches went 3-1 in the Goliad Invitational last weekend (Dec. 27 and 28) to place second in the 11-team tournament. The team beat Poth 49-32, Goliad 72-47 and Karnes City 58-53 before losing to Comfort 58-50.

The Apaches hosted Boling on Tuesday, winning 57-31. Gonzales opens district play against Cuero on Friday, Jan. 3 before traveling to Navarro on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
