Bertha Olivia Baker Null, 95, was born on June 22, 1923 in Gonzales to the late Herbert and Mary Baker. She went into glory to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Feb. 17 at 6:55 p.m. She was preceded in death by sister, Beatrice Baker and brother Emmet Baker; her daughter, Sarah Lea Reininger and two grandsons, John Clifford Frankenhauser and Bruce Berton Reininger.

She was married to the late Louise B Null from Welder, Texas and had previously been married to the late Otto Eugene Frankenhauser.

Bertha is survived by her son, John Eugene Frankenhauser and his wife Betty of Gonzales, Texas; her grandson John Christian “Chris” Reininger and his wife Tammy Fern Reininger of Hutto, Texas; Melissa “Missy” Renee Hall and her husband Johnnie Hall of Harwood, Texas; Kimberlee Anne Frankenhauser McLeod and husband Adam McLeod of Ft. White, Florida. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Bertha had many hobbies and interests which included, but were not limited to, gardening, cooking, canning, spending time with friends and family, always calling and checking in to ensure everyone was doing ok, dancing, watching RFD TV, and listening to Classic Country music. She loved to read and educate herself, she was a medical doctor without a license. She loved meeting and getting to know about new people, she never met a stranger. She was a wealth of knowledge on friends, family their connections and history, home health remedies and household tips. Bertha, Nana, Aunt Bertha and Pookie were just some of the names she was lovingly known as.

Bertha was a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church, Gonzales, Texas. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. In addition, Bertha served as a life time member of the Gonzales VFW Post 4817 Auxiliary of Gonzales, Texas.

Home going services for Bertha will be held Thursday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. at Seydler- Hill Funeral Home, 906 St. Paul Gonzales, Texas 78629. Visitation for Bertha will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Pilgrim Cemetery in Gonzales County (699 CR 214, Smiley, TX).

Pallbearers: Emmet Baker Jr., Ronald R Baker, Arnold Lee Baker, Bradley Baker, Daryl Baker and Brian Baker. Honorary Pallbearers: Charley Kitzman, Christopher Gohmert, Floyd Hurst, Ralph Null Jr., Michael Leck, Brent Baker, Ryan Brown, Jacob McLeod, Sherman Baker, Adam McLeod, Johnnie Hall and Chris Reininger.
