Bonnie Leila Foster Gustafson

Bonnie Leila Foster Gustafson, 67, of Austin, died December 19, 2016. She was born July 12, 1949 in Oakland, CA, the daughter of Felix S. and Mavis Trangrud Foster.

Bonnie attended Justin F. Kimball High School in Dallas, TX, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and Angel Flight. She was the office manager for her husband, David R. Gustafson, D.D.S. and a member of Oak Cliff Methodist Church.

She loved her family, friends, and all animals, and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, cooking, travel, and four wheeling. Bonnie also loved the Gustafson Ranch in Llano and all things Longhorn.

She was predeceased by her parents and her aunt, Joan Moner. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Dr. David R. Gustafson; brother John C. Foster and his wife Pam; nephew Christian Foster and wife Megan, and their children, Riley and Brady; and niece Missy Hajra and husband Neeshu, and their child Lily Belle. She is also survived by cousins Sytha Gustafson Minter, Vance and Brandi McMurry, Greta Gustafson, Kay Kocurek Bell, Cindy Transgrud, and Darryl Transgrud. Special thanks to Carol and Dr. Howard Crockett of Conroe.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017, with The Rev. Michael Wyckoff officiating at Weed-Corley–Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd. A reception will follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
