Breakfast with Santa set for Saturday

What child has not dreamed of having breakfast with Santa? All those dreams can come true on Saturday morning, Dec. 2, when Gonzales Rotary Club hosts its annual Christmas Breakfast with Santa at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

This event allows to delight in the magic of the holidays and make Christmas memories for years to come! Mrs. Claus and Santa's elves will greet each guests wishing all a Merry Christmas and create a magical atmosphere for the children.

The Rotarians will prepare delicious, homemade buttermilk pancakes topped with powdered sugar and served with breakfast sausage, fresh strawberries, milk and juice.

As a wonderful breakfast is enjoyed, Santa's elves, sugarplum fairies and toy soldiers will be stopping by each table to sing Christmas Carols to the children and dance through the dining area.

Santa is scheduled to arrive from the North Pole to visit with all the good boys and girls at 10 a.m.

As the children finish their pancake breakfast, they will be treated to an individual visit with Santa and whisper their Christmas wishes in his ear.

Parents are welcome to take pictures and capture some 2017 Christmas memories made with their children in historic downtown Gonzales.

Santa will greet the children by name as he tells them he has a special gift for them this Christmas for being on the "nice list." Then the jolly visitor from the North Pole will give each child a package of Reindeer Food made special for them by his elves to assist Santa's Reindeer in locating their home on Christmas Eve.

Plan on a day of Christmas magic for your child starting with Breakfast with Santa at 9 a.m. followed by other Winterfest activities including decorating Christmas cookies on the downtown square and ending with the Lighted Christmas Parade at 7 p.m.

Seating is limited so please purchase your Breakfast with Santa tickets today from the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce and be a part of this magical time!

The event is being held at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, with ticket prices set at $5 for children and $7 for adults.

Breakfast with Santa is a fundraiser with all proceeds funding the Early Act First Knight Character Building Program. The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Gonzales.
