Candelario “Larry” Pompa, age 88, of Nixon, entered eternal rest on Feb. 7, in Yorktown, Texas. He was born in Gonzales County, Texas, on Feb. 2, 1931, to Manuel and Victoria Rivera Pompa.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Cisto, Nick and Jose Pompa; and a sister, Esther Peña.

fHe is survived by Amelia Rodriguez Pompa, his wife of 64 years; son, Armando Pompa and wife Mary Lou; daughters: Erma Ocanas and husband Greg, and Alice Trigo and husband Alex; grandchildren: Savannah Provow, Bobby Pompa, Joshua Ocanas and wife Heather, Kimberly Trigo, and Brittany Trigo; great-grandchildren: Rylee Provow, Jadon and Alexander Ocanas, Luke Flores, Liam Alvarez, Leah Trigo and Leo Rodriguez; sister, Dora Jimenez and husband Domingo; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other loving family and many friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 11, from 4-8 p.m. at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m.

2:30 p.m.

St. Joseph Catholic Church, Nixon
