Cardinals trounce Marble Falls Faith

SHINER — Shiner St. Paul did all their scoring in the first half as they took down Marble Falls Faith Academy 62-7 in the first round of playoffs.

Conor Kresta led the team in rushing, getting nine rushes for 202 yards and four touchdowns. He also picked up a fumble and took it to the end zone from 49 yards out.

Austin Barton ran four times for 94 yards and one touchdown. Joseph Natal ran four times for 70 yards, River Haynes had a five-yard touchdown run and Tre’Zell Jenkins-Perry ran three times for 39 yards including a 26-yard touchdown run.

Faith Academy’s lone score came in the third quarter, a two-yard run by Kameron Ellenberger.

Shiner St. Paul travels to the Woodlands Christian to take on Beaumont Legacy Christian on Friday, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
