A beloved wife, mother, and nana, Cathy Eddy, gained her beautiful angel wings on Nov. 12, at the age of 63. She was born at home on March 3, 1955 to Hughey and Oneita Bevel.
Cathy met her husband Don of 32 years, at Midnight Rodeo in San Antonio, on Dec. 26, 1985, and they married on Aug. 9, 1986. Cathy and Don spent the majority of their marriage in Marion, Texas where Cathy was employed for Marion ISD for many years. She enjoyed being involved with the Marion FFA, being outdoors, working in her yard, spending time with family and friends, shopping with her girls, crafting, going to the beach, and her animals.
She is preceded in death by her parents Hughey and Oneita Bevel, brother Tommy Bevel, and grandparents Charles and Katy Shelton and John Henry Bevel and Lily Tiser.
She is survived by her husband Don; children Chris Eddy (Denise) of Seguin, Shelly Stamport (Shelby) of Gonzales, Keith Roberts of Pleasanton, and Cheyanne Crabb (Ryland) of China Grove; grandchildren Stetson Eddy, Dakota Stamport, Dallas Eddy, Bradley Stamport, Justin Eddy, Blaine Roberts, Lily Roberts, and Tynlee Crabb; brother Kenneth Bevel (Carrie) and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers include Shelby Stamport, Ryland Crabb, Bradley Stamport, Dakota Stamport, Blaine Roberts, Justin Eddy, Stetson Eddy, and Larry Brietzke.
Honorary pallbearers include Cody Parsons, Kenton Bevel, Katelyn Bevel, Montana Bevel, Kendra Bevel, Jody Schneider, Melissa Wagenfhr and Dawn Koepp.
A visitation will take place from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the Country Church in Marion, with a burial to follow at the Concrete Cemetery in La Vernia.
