Chamber Seeks nominations for David B. Walshak Lifetime Achievement Award, Community Service Award

Gonzales Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture has announced the date for the 96th Annual Gonzales Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Banquet.

Chamber officials now seek the community’s nominations for the David B. Walshak Lifetime Achievement Award and the Community Service Award.

Chamber Executive Director Daisy Scheske-Freeman said now is the time to think about those people in Gonzales who have made a difference in the community or go above and beyond to make Gonzales County a better place.

Nominations will be due in early February.

The banquet will be Friday, February 23, 2018.

The evening will kick off with a cocktail hour followed by dinner, live and silent auctions and the distinguished citizen awards ceremony. 

According to chamber officials banquet tickets will go on sale in January. Eight-person sponsorship tables will be reserved, with premiere seating and the sponsoring business or organization name displayed, as well as set with snacks and specialty wine. General admission tickets will also be available, but on a first come first serve basis.

More details, such as time, location and ticket prices, will be available as planning progresses, in the coming weeks.
