City of Gonzales closes offices


The city of Gonzales announced the closure of multiple city facilities on Monday morning.

Closed to the public until further notice will be the Robert Lee Brothers Jr. Memorial Library, Gonzales Memorial Museum, J.B. Wells Park, Arena & Expo, city hall, Gonzales Community Service, Public Works, the Splash Pad, the golf clubhouse at Independence Park and all playground equipment at city parks.

The Q&A with the Mayor event scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 at 10 a.m. has been postponed until further notice.

In a message sent through social media, the city announced for utility payments, the drive-thru is open during normal operating hours and two drop boxes are available and checked regularly. Online bill payment as well as payment by phone is still available. Contact 855-546-1356 to pay online.
