The Gonzales County Commissioners Court approved bids on Feb. 24 for air conditioner, electrical work and materials for the county annex building used by the Gonzales Central Appraisal District. First mentioned at the Feb. 10 commissioners meeting, the project focuses on expanding the air conditioning to include the building’s bathrooms. The county is legally bound to provide heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) for all the building through its lease agreement with the appraisal district.

The court approved a $4,544.20 bid from Harwood Heating and Air to install air condition in the north east restroom area and $2,777.00 bid from BNM Electric LLC to wire new A/C and furnace in back of annex and install six 2x4 LED lay-in lights.

“We’re still, from what we had initially thought that the building was going to cost us, we’re still way under thanks to Brian (Kloesel) and y’alls guys that insisted on helping him,” Judge Pat Davis said of the project.
