Conrada (Cantu) Gonzales

Conrada (Cantu) Gonzales, 77, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at her residence.

Cremation Rites are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Conrada was born on Sept. 8, 1939 in Fannin, Texas. She was the daughter of Anastacio and Matilda (Delosantos) Cantu. She was the wife of Ernesto Jimenez whom she met in 1985. She liked watching westerns on TV, especially, Gunsmoke. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing. She enjoyed cooking for the family gatherings. Conrada was employed at Walmart for 26 years.

Conrada is survived by five sons, Antonio Gonzales and his wife, Maci of Gonzales, Texas, Eufenio Gonzales Jr. and his wife Sylvia of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Thomas Gonzales of Placedo, Texas, Ruben Gonzales Sr. and his wife, Elizabeth of Yoakum, Texas, Enrique Gonzales and his wife, Toni of Gonzales, Texas, three daughters, Genoveva Medrano and her husband, Rudy of Victoria, Texas, Juanita Pena and her husband, Rick of Victoria, Texas, Virginia Licea and her husband, Juan of Gonzales, Texas, two brothers, Anastacio Cantu, Jr. of Ohio, Joe Cantu, Sr. and his wife, Delia of Victoria, Texas, one sister, Lidia Cardenas and her husband, Raymond, Sr. of Victoria, Texas, twenty-six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents of Anastacio and Matilda Cantu, her loving husband Ernesto Jimenez, and one brother, Guadalupe “Wally” Cantu.
