Country legends headline CTI fest

Country legends Lee Roy Parnell, Janie Fricke and Johnny Bush highlight a packed Come and Take It Celebration lineup.

Friday night kicks off with Cost’s own rising country star Brandi Behlen at 6 p.m. Up and coming country act Damon Curtis and the Nomads follow at 8 p.m. Closing out the night is 84-year-old Johnny Bush. Bush has been active on the country circuit since 1952 and has song writing credits for artists like Willie Nelson.

Mariachi band Los Gavilanes gets things going on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Three-piece family band hailing from Louisiana Landry and Company take the stage at 4 p.m.

Janie Fricke began her career singing “in a little church up the road.” Since then she has played for millions around the world. Fricke will play at 8 p.m. Lee Roy Parnell, a longtime veteran of the country scene with more than 20 singles that have charted on the Billboard Hot County Songs, rounds out the Saturday at 10 p.m.

A CTI favorite, the Shiner Hobo Band will conclude the festival on Sunday. The unique polka and waltz band will perform at 1 p.m.
