Couple gives thanks for free tour

Posted

On Nov. 23, my wife and I was passing through your city for the first time and noticed the many turn of the century fine houses which we always enjoy looking at. We stopped at the jail and had a really nice tour there and were leaving. While standing on the sidewalk starting to cross the street, a car drove up and stopped in front of us. The elderly gentleman rolled down the window and asked us if we wanted a tour of the city. He said it was free.

What a town it was! This man was amazing, what with all the knowledge he had about these beautiful houses, dates, and history that he told us about. Your city has a really great asset in this man. So thank you, Leon Netardus for making our visit to your city memorable and also the info about the chicken and dumplings.
