Danny Lynn “Bubbo” Mikesh, 52, of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1.

He was born October 12, 1964 in Gonzales, the son of Joe and Illean West Mikesh. He married Carolyn Green December 16, 1983 in Leesville. He worked for Hunter Industries Construction for 28 years as a blade operator.

Danny had a very strong work ethic and will be missed by his many co-workers and management of Hunter Inc. He was an expert welder and enjoyed any kind of project. He made many BBQ pits for family and friends along with donating them for fund raising auctions. His only comment was “If you want to pay me for it, you can’t have it”. He enjoyed deer hunting and bay fishing. He made deer sausage for family and friends. He was very dedicated to his family and many friends and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Mikesh of Gonzales; mother Illean Mikesh of Nixon; daughter Misty Mikesh of Gonzales; sons Chase Mikesh and Tanner Mikesh both of Gonzales; special son Dave Pieprzica of Gonzales; brother Joey “Peachie” Mikesh and wife Debbie of Nixon; grandchildren Colby “Pete” Webb, Rayden “Fella” Webb and Kyleigh Webb.

He was preceded in death by his father and his sister Nancy Mikesh.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the funeral home with Reverend Michael Cowey officiating. Interment will follow at the Treybig Cemetery in Gillette. Pallbearers include Robert “Gabby” Stehle, Garvin Mikesh, Jeff Reneau, Larry “Cookie” Baker, Eddie Ray Robinson and Dale Harper. Honorary pallbearers include Misty Mikesh, Chase Mikesh, Tanner Mikesh, Colby Webb, Rayden Webb, Kyleigh Webb, Jason Carver, Andy Ybarbo, Leslie Ray Pirkle, Carlos Nunez, Randy Bigler, Victor Rangel, Jason Ulrich, Dwayne Haseloff and Richard Powell. Arrangements under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, Gonzales.
