GONZALES — At the half, the Gonzales Apaches (0-1) are dominating the Austin Crockett Cougars (0-1) 35-0 at home.

The Apaches defense have given up just two first downs in the first half, both due to a flags. Cougars have just 25 yards of total offense in the first half.

Meanwhile, the Apaches have leaned heavily on their run game, scoring four of their five touchdowns on the ground. James Martinez has two rushing touchdowns, both from four yards out and Elijah Holiday has two rushing touchdowns, one from 59 yards out and the other from four yards out.

Marvin Cardoza bounced back from a sack fumble midway through the second quarter, finding Keisey Ramirez for a 65-yard touchdown pass.
