Denis Lee Goode

Denis Lee Goode, 65, of Waelder, Texas passed away on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin, Texas.

Graveside Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and were held on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at Mount Eden Cemetery. Visitation was held at Buffington Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020.

Denis was born on May 28, 1955 in Livingston, Texas. He was the son of Jeff Robert and Gloria (Scallion) Goode. After high school, Denis earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Stephen F. Austin College. He married Brenda Smith on Dec. 29, 1992 in Houston, Texas. Denis liked to go fishing, and he enjoyed woodworking and building things like tables and bookshelves.

Denis is survived by his loving wife of 27 years: Brenda; one daughter: Jennifer Smith of Katy, Texas; one brother: Jeff Robert Goode, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; one sister: Cynthia Goode; three grandchildren: Jordan Hartmann, Jaden Hartmann, and Elijah Cunha; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Jeff Robert and Gloria Goode; two brothers: Gene Ray Goode sand Chris Goode.
