Dianne was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Oct. 1,1937 to Dorothy Harral Stahl and Marvin Winston Stahl, who raised their only child in Gonzales, Texas. Dianne twirled and strutted as the majorette for the Apache Marching Band at Gonzales High School and later attended Baylor University and Texas A&M, but ended up flying the glamorous skies as a stewardess for American Airlines until she married Tom J. While raising her children, Dianne joined the Houston Junior Forum, where she donned her red and white candy-striped jumper for volunteer work with the elderly. As an empty nester, Dianne joined the Houston realty business after earning a real estate license and joining the National, State and Houston Association of Realtors; She joined the fight against cancer as a survivor and CanCare member providing emotional support to cancer patients and their families. She was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church and was blessed to have been married to a man who loved and cared for her, especially during the years she lived with Alzheimer’s.
