Donald Dennis Strackbein

Donald Dennis Strackbein, 81, passed away at his home in Gonzales, Texas on June 21. He was born July 22, 1935 in Sipe Springs, Texas to Arthur Dennis Strackbein and Ruth Baird Strackbein.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Donald began his career as an electrician. He was a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 60, San Antonio, Texas. He was initiated into the IBEW Local 60 in Feb. 1959.

Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glenda Goodwin Strackbein, son Donald Strackbein, his brothers Charles and wife Ruth, Ricky Strackbein, sister Vicky Tessaro and husband Richard, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rising Star Texas.

A private graveside service was held on Saturday, June 24, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Stockdale with Rev. Gary Irwin officiating.
