Evelyn Bernice Briggs

Evelyn Bernice Briggs, 86, died after a struggle with heart disease on May 22 in Gonzales, TX. She was born on September 6, 1930 in Columbus, GA to Elza Fernando Boswell Jr. and Della Mae Ragsdale. 

On June 9, 1952, she served in the United States Military Service Air Force where she met and married O’Dell Briggs. They had three children, Raymon Briggs (deceased), Brenda Shannon and Debra Briggs. She was a licensed cosmetologist and Massage Therapist with certifications in Aromatherapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Reiki. She designed and made jewelry, and donated sets to women.

A celebration of life ceremony will take place on Sunday June 4, at 4 p.m. at Emmanuel Fellowship. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to Debra Briggs C/O Emmanuel Fellowship 1817 St. Lawrence St. Gonzales, TX 78629 or a charity of your choice.
