Florence Riojas

Florence Riojas, 88, of Nixon, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015 in Seguin.  Florence was born Nov. 9, 1927 in Beeville to Cruz and Andrea (Ruiz) Rodriguez.  Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Severo Riojas Sr.; sons, Severo Riojas Jr. and Juan Riojas; brother, Freddie Rodriguez; sisters, Guadalupe Garcia, Lucia Lara and Salome Rodriguez; and another brother.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Lupe Aguinaga and husband Joe of San Antonio; sons, Walter Riojas of Nixon and Michael Riojas and wife Missy of Baytown; grandchildren, Audrey Webb and husband Nathan, Javier Riojas and wife Christina, John Walter Riojas, Jesse James Riojas, Madison Rene Riojas, Emma Jean Riojas, Morgan Michelle Riojas, Mason Michael Riojas, Yvette Riojas Bryan and husband Leon, Valerie Riojas Arguijoand husband Adolph,  Christopher Riojas and wife Sarah, and Cindy Riojas; and numerous great-grandchildren. 

A visitation will take place Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary vigil recited at 6:30 p.m. at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon. Funeral mass is Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nixon with Father Kuriakose Ouseph officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Christopher Riojas, Mason Riojas, Ian Bryan, Jared Bryan, John Riojas and Jesse James Riojas. Interment will follow in the Nixon Latin American Cemetery.
