Gloria Annette Sanders

Gloria Annette Sanders, 58, of Gonzales, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 3, with her family by her side at Texan Nursing & Rehab in Gonzales, Texas.

Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and was held on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m. at Saint James Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Interment will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A rosary will be recited before mass at 1:30 p.m. at the Church.

Gloria was born on March 28, 1959 in Gonzales, Texas. She was the daughter of Eddie and Manuela (Silvas) Navejar. Gloria worked as a private caregiver, and she cared for many families in the Gonzales area. She loved to spend time with her daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Gloria was best known for making her enchiladas, and cream of wheat without the lumps, which nobody could ever make like her.

Gloria is survived by four daughters; Vanessa and Robert Miller of San Diego, California, Amy and Christopher Riojas of Seguin, Texas, Tiffany Sanders and Michael Medina of Gonzales, Texas, Stevie and Joseph Reeves of Gonzales, Texas, three brothers; Jesse Molina of Gonzales, Texas, Lupe and Margie Navejar of Gonzales, Texas, Eddie Navejar of Gonzales, Texas, four sisters; Mary Pacheco of Gonzales, Texas, Ofelia and Rudy Perez of Shertz, Texas, Sylvia Mendez of McAllen, Texas, Michelle Strait of Gonzales, Texas, 11 grandchildren; Zoey, Isaiah, Robert, Zachary, Caliber, Hailynn, Madysin, Noah, Erica, Jasmin, Jadon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Manuela Navejar, one brother; Gabriel Silvas, and one nephew; James Sanders Oeltjen.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Sanders will be; Christopher Riojas, Joseph Reeves, Michael Medina, Rocky Pacheco, Jeffery Perez, Cameron Harris, George Solis, and Jacob Sanders, Honorary Pallbearers will be; Isaiah Sanders, Robert Cantu III, Caliber Reeves, Zachary Kenning, and Jadon Medina.
