Golf tourney to benefit EMS, rescue

GONZALES — In an effort to raise funds to supply their workers with quality equipment to better serve the community, the Gonzales County EMS and Rescue are hosting a golf tournament this Saturday at Independence Park. The contest was supposed to take place last weekend but was rescheduled due to foul weather.

The format is a three-person scramble with a $50 per person entry fee. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with a tee time of 8 a.m. Coffee and pastries will be available.

Entry includes a catered meal prior to the awards presentation plus two sponsor representatives. Awards will be handed out for 1st-3rd places as well as longest drive and closest to the pin. Mulligans are $10 — with a limit of two per player — and a silent auction will be held during play.

Questions can be directed to Michelle Molina at 830-672-7675 or gcems806@gvec.net.
