Gonzales County reports no new COVID-19 cases Tuesday

No new cases of coronavirus were reported in Gonzales County on Tuesday, July 14, leaving the coronavirus case count to rest at 364.

With this update, there are currently 116 active cases of coronavirus in Gonzales County. DeWitt County reported 29 new cases, Guadalupe reported 29, Lavaca 3, Wilson 4 and Karnes 0.

Coronavirus case trends have continued upwards across the state, with 282,356 cases and 3,432 deaths. So far, 149,276 Texans have recovered from coronavirus, with 129,657 cases remaining active.

The symptoms of coronavirus are similar to seasonal allergies, as reported by the CDC. For those who are feeling ill, the Centers for Disease Control recommend staying home and wearing a mask when out in public. Commonly these symptoms are:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
