Gonzales Inquirer going weekly

Dear Readers,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal readers, advertisers, and business partners for their dedication to The Gonzales Inquirer for so many years. We are going to be switching to a one-day per week print publication beginning on Jan. 4, 2018. Beginning that week, The Gonzales Inquirer will combine our Tuesday and Friday editions and will publish this larger issue on Thursdays.
We are doing this to remain competitive in the changing media marketplace and to remain financially viable and relevant. But more importantly, we are making numerous internal changes to strengthen our media footprint which will be much more robust and relevant as we go forward. In the near future you will see a stronger digital and social presence from The Gonzales Inquirer that we hope will meet the demands of our business partners as well as the expectations of our readers. We’re going to have a much greater online presence, updating new and unique content daily on our improved and updated web site, www.gonzalesinquirer.com.
You will also notice many changes in how the paper looks and in its content. In the past few weeks, we have rededicated ourselves to provide much more local news content, especially more features and articles on people and places in Gonzales County. Our editorial page will be cleaner and fresher, with more local editorials and columns. We will be offering a larger edition of the paper, with more local news, features, pictures and things to do.
With a fresher and cleaner design, more local news and features, and a much more robust presence online, we will be the information and media source that the city and county of Gonzales deserve and expect for the changing world that we live in.
