Gonzales ISD requesting graduation input

Posted

Gonzales ISD recently opened a survey, asking for input from community members on how the district should handle the Gonzales High School graduation ceremony.

The survey can be found at here.

Currently, Gonzales High School administration is “working to develop a graduation committee consisting of senior students and senior parents to discuss options for graduation,” according to a post through social media.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) allowed all school districts to proceed with a virtual graduation ceremony without approval. However, TEA is working with public health specialists to determine the conditions under which an in-person ceremony may occur. Details will be released soon once they are available.

The survey itself asks three questions:

  • Full name
  • If you have a child(ren) enrolled in GISD, what campus(es) do they attend?
  • Share your ideas on how we can conduct graduation

The open-ended survey is available to anyone in the community, not just senior students and parents until it closes on Tuesday.

Results will be shared with the GHS graduation committee to make a final decision.
