Guadalupe “Lupe” Navejar

Guadalupe “Lupe” Navejar, 62, of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, April 17. He was born May 15, 1956 in Gonzales the son of Ladislado and Manuela Silvas Navejar.

He was a retired employee of the Lake Jackson Water Department and had served with the National Guard. He married Margie Rodriguez on June 13, 2008 in Gonzales.

He is survived by his wife Margie of Gonzales; stepdaughters: Jennifer Castilleja of Gonzales, Christina Hernandez of Manor; stepsons: Ernest Castilleja of Austin, Anthony Castilleja of Gonzales, Alexander Castilleja and Michael Castilleja both of Austin, Moses Castilleja of Gonzales and Frank Rodriguez of Austin; sisters: Mary Pacheco of Gonzales, Sylvia Mendez of Alamo, Michelle Strait of Gonzales and Ofelia Perez of Schertz; brothers: Eddie Navejar and Jesse Molina both of Gonzales. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Annette Sanders and brother Gabriel Navejar. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
