Hilario Campos of Gonzales, Texas was called home on Sept. 8 at the age of 88. He was born on November 17, 1929 in Guanajuauto, Mexico to Isidro and Mercedes Ramirez Campos.

He fought a real long battle to cancer for 23 years. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by both parents, four brothers, two sisters and an infant son Eduardo Hilario Campos.

He is survived by his loving wife Gabriela Campos of Gonzales, son; Robert Campos and wife Amanda of Bay City, Texas, one daughter; Victoria Campos Cantu and husband Alex Cantu, nine grandchildren, ages 3 to 15 years old, one brother; Ramon Campos of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, four sisters from Mexico and numerous nephews and nieces.

A rosary will be recited on Friday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Sacred Heart Church.

Pallbearers: Alex Cantu, Sr., Robert Campos, Jorge Almaguer, Reynaldo Almaguer, Steven Cantu Jr., Sergio Almaguer and Austin Anzaldua. Honorary Pallbearers: grandchildren, Marissa Isabel Herrera, Oscar Ray Herrera, Edward Jaime Herrera, Midaya Gabriela Cantu, Alex Daniel Cantu Jr., Mario Ferando Cantu, Mady Renee Campos, Zoey Beth Campos, and Jesus Antonio Campos.
