Holland P. Smith, born November 16, 1926 in Stockdale, Texas, passed away at age 89 in Round Rock, Texas, November 2, 2016.

Holland was ordained into the ministry at FBC Stephenville in 1945, age 19. He earned his BA, 1947, and MA, 1958 from Baylor and from 1950-62 pastored Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Falls County, Morgan Mill in Erath County, FBC Bremond, FBC Seminole, FBC Burnet, Calvary in Bryan, and Mexia FBC.

In 1962 he was appointed missionary to the SBC Mission to Minnesota-Wisconsin by the Home Mission Board and returned to TX in 1967 to serve as Director of Missions of South Central Area, living in Gonzales, TX.

In 1980, he became Director of Missions for Williamson Baptist Association.

Holland is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jeanne Smith, his son Marshall and wife Mary Jane, son Dan, step-daughter Diana Oyler and husband Jim, and daughters-in-law Leslie Keeler and Laura Keeler. He leaves behind 11 grandchildren - Steven Smith, Dakota Smith and wife Lynzee, Parker Smith, Brittany Smith, Samantha Keeler Homer and husband Chris, Courtney Keeler Campbell and husband Philip, Ashley Keeler, Alex Keeler, David Edwards and wife Jennifer, Joshua Oyler, and Micah Oyler, and 2 great-grandchildren - Carlee and Blyth Edwards.

A memorial service will be held on November 15 at 3:00pm at First Baptist Church Round Rock where all are welcome. Worship leaders are Jared Allen, Pastor, Paul Powell, Dean Emeritus - Truett Seminary Waco, Glenn VanLandingham, Minister of Music.
