Ida Mathis Littlefield

Ms. Ida Mathis Littlefield was born Nov. 1, 1922 to Willis Lamkin and Rosie B. Mathis Lamkin in Gonzales County. She attended school in the Princeville community.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at the Princeville Community Church. After leaving Princeville, she united with the Union Lea Baptist Church under the leadership or Reverend Mayberry and later moved her membership to Providence Baptist Church.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. J.C. Littlefield.

To know her was to love her. She was a sweet spirited lady and loved everyone. Mrs. Ida loved spending time with her family and friends.

She would walk to school every day with Jereline Smith Clack in their younger days. Mrs. Ida was a cook for the Cow Palace restaurant in Gonzales, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister; Myrtle B. Lamkin Butler and one; brother, McKinley Lamkin

She leaves to cherish her memory; Jereline Clack(Martin), Ms. Genevieve Smith and many nephews, great nephews, cousins and dear friends.
