Isabel Vara Mata

Ms. Isabel Vara Mata was born May 10, 1935 to Bernadino and Rafaela Vara in Gonzales, Texas.  She passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at her residence.

Ms. Isabel attended school in Gonzales County Texas.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Ms. Isabel worked at Care Inn Nursing Home in Gonzales, Texas for many years until her retirement as a housekeeping supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, children; Lisa Marie Mata and Andrew Mata Jr., brother; Ben Vara Jr., and sister; Ruth Vara Sykes.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter; Cookie Mata Zavala, son; Marty Mata, sister; Linda Isabel Vara Taylor.  Two granddaughters, five great grandchildren, and a host of uncles, nieces, cousins and many friends.

Services will be held; Wednesday, May 15, 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Viewing from 10-11 a.m.
