It's A Girl!

Gonzales Healthcare Systems’ first baby of the New Year has arrived. A 6-pound, 7-ounce baby girl, measuring 20 inches long, took her first breath the third day of the New Year. The 2019 New Year’s Baby was born at 7:55 a.m. at Gonzales Memorial Hospital on Jan. 3 to 
Yadira Garcia Saucedo and Ramiro Balderas of Gonzales.

Baby Nalia was delivered by Rikki Baldwin, DO. While there was a tinge of excitement at Nalia being the first baby of the New Year, the family’s concern was that she was healthy. The family did not realize she was the first baby of the New Year born at Memorial Hospital. The nurses in the OB Department said they were excited to be able to play a part in bringing Nalia into this world.

Baby Nalia received several goodies, including a diaper bag, onesies, socks, diapers, receiving blankets, bath soaps and so much more from Gonzales Healthcare Systems in recognition of the “First Baby of the New Year.”
