James Leo Walls

James Leo Walls left to be with his heavenly Father, Saturday, July 23, 2016. He was born in Quitman, Ark. on Oct. 17, 1921 to Marlin Howe and Beulah Walls. He was a retired farmer of crops and poultry and a faithful member of the Church of Christ.

James was preceded in death by his wife of 56-and-a-half years, Ruth Mae Murray Walls; daughter, Linda Egger; grandchildren, Timothy, Donna, Nathan, Shawn, Ashton, and Misty; his parents; and two brothers, David Walls and Robert Walls. He is survived by his two daughters, Betty and husband Lester Patterson of Bertram and Mary and husband Clay Mason of Gonzales; sons, James and Madelin Walls of Bulverde, Glenn and Mickey Walls of Prattville, Ala., Alan and Barbara Walls of Port Lavaca; son-in-law, Billie Egger of Smile; brother, Edwin Walls of North Carolina; sisters, Corine Marcum of Oklahoma, Lois Massie of Arizona, and Leoma Ponton of Kyle; grandchildren, Michael Walls, Christie McCoy, Bruce Egger, Becky Egger, Leslie Patterson, Beth McElroy, Kelly Burnett, Megan Mason, James and Gerald Patterson, and Daryl Mika; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Brady, Rylee Egger, Tyler Patterson, Mason McElroy, Marshall Walls, Clayton and Hadley McCoy, Rebecca and Levi Patterson, Tracen and Landon Mika.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

Graveside services are Wednesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. At Bundick Cemetery in Smiley.Mr. Clay Mason will officiate the service. The online guestbook may be signed at www.finchfuneralchapels.com.
