It was one glorious Monday on June 20, 1936 twin boys was born to Zilmon and Fannie Robinson Hastings. They had the blessings of naming one of the Jesse Hastings.

Jesse was raised in a large family. This is where he received his first lesson on family! Jesse received his education at Edwards High School and was great in math. He drove trucks and worked in the construction industry. He helped construct the first Wal-Mart in Gonzales.

Jesse loved for animals. By far was a true cowboy. He had many horses but by far his best was named Sunny. To know Jesse was to know that he always had a joke to tell; never telling the same joke twice. And always wanted you to leave him with a little more knowledge than you came with.

Jesse is being welcomed to his heavenly home by his mother and father, his twin, Leslie, son Jesse Jr, daughter, Alma Jean, granddaughters Katina Hastings and Adrian Taylor and a number of brothers and sisters.

Jesse leaves to finish his race, daughters; Shirlette Williams (Leroy), Jessie Lee, Claudia Hamilton, Christian Smith, Catherine Greathouse, Lorrine Hastings, Sharon Smith, Fannie Mae Lackey, Alisha, and Shirley Ann Adams.
