Joe Alfred Molina, 53, passed away peacefully at home on Friday March 24. He was born to Erlinda Molina and Alfred Perez on August 22, 1963 in Gonzales, Texas. He attended schools in Gonzales and was a graduate of the class of 1984. At the time of his illness, Joe was employed with B&R Trucking as a truck driver.

Joe had a passion for music, dancing, sports, playing pool, and mostly his love of being a drummer. But nothing compared to his love of being a "Popo" to his grandchildren. Joe was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs.

He is survived by his wife, Michele Molina of Gonzales, daughter Brianna Ramos of Gonzales, father Alfred Perez of Ohio, sisters Esther Molina, Veronica Molina and husband Armando Alcora, and Elaine Molina all of San Antonio and one brother Frank Salas of Downey, California. Also surviving are his stepdaughters, Mindy Cantu-Castillo and husband Mike Castillo Jr. Deanna Cantu and husband Trent Smith Sr., one stepson David Adam Cantu and wife Cathy, all of Gonzales.

Joe is also survived by 13 grandchildren, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandmother, Blacita Molina and grandfather Cosme Molina and sisters Elizabeth Aguirre, and Elsa Aguirre.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 30at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the rosary being recited at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Reverend Paul Raaz as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. James Cemetery. Pallbearers: David Adam Cantu Jr, Mike Trevino Sr., Chris Molina, Rocky Salazar Jr., Martin Castillo and Mike Castillo Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Devin Cantu, Michael Lee Trevino Jr., Ryan Cantu-Bailey, Mikey Castillo, III, Trent Smith Sr., Matthew Maldonado and Kaleb Glory.

Services are under the care of Harris Funeral Home of Gonzales.
