Julian Ray Aguirre, 48, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Gonzales Memorial Hospital in Gonzales, Texas.

Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at Saint James Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Burial will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Buffington Funeral Home with Deacon Terry Brennan officiating.

Julian was born on June 11, 1968 in Luling, Texas. He was the son of Rafael and Pauline (Casanova) Aguirre. Julian worked as a Carpenter and Apprentice Electrician. He married Martha Jo Cerda in 1988, and then he married Cynthia (Cindy) Rivera in 2002 after his divorce from Martha. Julian liked to go fishing, cooking, and having BBQs. He liked to hang out with family and friends. He loved his family and had fun playing with his grandson and nieces and nephews. He was a caring, loving, and a man who would “give you the shirt off his back”. Julian had an addictive smile. He was a humble, and non-materialistic man. Julian always had a joke, and would joke around with anyone. He liked his Chuck Taylor clothes and his Converse Shoes.

Julian is survived by his mother and father; Rafael and Pauline Aguirre of Gonzales, Texas, one daughter; Ayllssa Ruiz and her husband, Ricky of Gonzales, Texas, one brother; Matthew Paul Aguirre and his wife Frances of Houston, Texas, two sisters; Carolyn Camarillo and her husband, Jesse of Gonzales, Texas, Annette Vega and her husband, Joseph of Gonzales, Texas, one uncle; David Casanova of Gonzales, Texas, one aunt; Rose Marie Casanova of Little Rock, Arkansas, and one grandson; Reyden Noah Ruiz. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Paul and Rose Casanova, and Rosa Garcia, his wife; Cindy Rivera, and one niece; Isabel Caroline Aguirre.

Pallbearers for Mr. Aguirre will be; Lee Sirilo, Rayne Sirilo, Alonzo Sirilo, John Olmos, Matthew Aguirre, and Jesse Navejar III. Honorary Pallbearers will be; David Casanova, Jesse Camarillo, Jr., Joseph Vega, Ricky Ruiz, Dillen Fellers, Casey Lee Aguirre, and Jesse Camarillo, Sr.
