June Rose Slovak Hagens, age 89, passed away Wednesday, July 4.
She was born June 14, 1929 in Shiner to Frank and Hattie Pavlicek Slovak.
She was a secretary for Tex Tan for 32 years. Member of Hermann Sons Lodge #90, S.P.J.S.T., Holy Cross Lutheran Church Women and served on the cemetery committee for Shiner Brethren Church.
Survivors: daughters, Janet Baker (Lee) of Gonzales and Susan Motal (Robert) of Shiner; grandchildren, Kimberlee Brown (Tinker), Holly Danz (Bradley), Angela Motal, Jennifer Motal, Bobby Motal and Bradley Baker (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Madelynn Brown, Kayla Autrey (Dillon), Kalli Baker, Hagen Brown and Brody Danz; great-great grandchild, Luke Autrey.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Leonard Hagens.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 5 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Friday, July 6 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Rev. Alsen Wenzel officiating. Burial at Hermann Sons Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Bradley Baker, Tinker Brown, Bradley Danz, David Hensley, Mike Welhausen and Dillon Autrey.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hermann Sons Cemetery, Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Accolade Hospice.
