Belton — Funeral services for Justin Lee "Zombie" Brockwell, 21, of Temple will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. Pastor Leo Camden Sr. will be officiating and burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery.

Mr. Brockwell passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, in Temple.

Justin was born Aug. 2, 1996 in Temple to John W. Brockwell and April Burke. He attended kindergarten through the seventh grade in Gonzales where he was the football manager for the Gonzales Jr. High Apaches. He then moved to Little River-Academy where he was active in the Thespians Club, theater arts and was named Homecoming King his senior year. He graduated from Academy High School in 2015 and then attended Temple College. He worked at Wal-Mart in Temple for over two years. Justin was an active member of Taylor Valley Baptist Church Youth Group and also attended Bible Way Pentecostal Church. He really enjoyed time spent with the church youth groups and had dreams of becoming a youth pastor.

Justin enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He loved watching football and his favorite teams were the Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. Justin was a true and loving friend to everyone he met and had no enemies. He was a gentle giant and to know him was to love him. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, April Brockwell Marek and Richard Marek; father, John W. Brockwell; his sister, Natalie Dawn Brockwell; step-brother, Ryan Marek; grandparents, Myrtle and Joe Baldwin; grandmother, Wilma Pearson; step-grandfather, Marvin Marek; step-grandmother, Ann Albers; and great-grandmother, Frankie Cloud.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24 at the funeral home.
