Kelsy Baker age 26 of Meridian, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22 at her residence surrounded by family.

Funeral services were 2 p.m., Friday, July 26 at the Clifton Church of Christ in Clifton, Texas. Pastor Steve Countryman officiated. Visitation was from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 25 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Pallbearers were Jon Hollon, Josh Dempsey, Marcus Nabors, Jared Reynolds, Bryce Williamson, Mitchel Fagan, James Cassaro, and Tanner Mann.

Kelsy Shae Baker was born on Aug. 27, 1992 in Clifton, Texas to Ronald Dale and Susan Gwen Howard Baker. She attended Christian Preschool, Kindergarten-10th grade at Meridian ISD and 11th and 12th grade at Albany ISD. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a major in Interior Design and minor in Architecture and Business on May 16, 2016. Kelsy was employed as an administrative assistant by Insign Association Management. She loved people and enjoyed her friends and family, especially her 3 adorable nieces, Norah, Emery, and Clare. Kelsy was always planning a birthday bash, a river rafting trip or trips to different states to explore their history and try the local menu. Kelsy had a heart for others and always knew the right words to comfort and encourage her friends and family. She entertained her loved ones with her blogs and posts on Facebook and Snapchat. Kelsy was a shining example of sweetness and gentleness on her cancer journey. She highlighted special moments by writing journal entries sharing her experiences on CaringBridge. She added enough humor to make you smile and wisdom to make you think. Kelsy had a way of capturing her readers attention and touching their lives with her strength and faith. Even in her final months, Kelsy's attitude was evidence of her deep faith in Christ and was an encouragement to everyone. She lived her life in great anticipation of heaven and many people were blessed because she lived daily in the joy that comes from her faith.

Left to cherish her wonderful memories are her parents, Ronnie and Susan Baker of Meridian; brothers, Lance Baker and wife, Meghan, of Houston, Micah Baker and wife, Kayla, of Plano; nieces, Norah and Clare Baker of Houston, Emery Baker of Plano; aunt and uncles, Phil Baker and Robert and Penny Lee; numerous other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Victor and Virgie Baker; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Faye Howard.
