Lady Apaches knock off state-ranked Pleasanton

Gonzales won a pivotal District 30-4A match against Pleasanton in straight sets (25-19, 25-19, 25-11) at home Tuesday night. Pleasanton entered this week ranked ninth in the Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 4A rankings.

The sweep was Gonzales’ second district win of the season, with the Lady Apaches now 2-3 in district play, including their three-set loss last Friday against Navarro.

Gonzales travels to San Antonio to take on Brooks Academy on Friday to end the first half of district play. They have a bye on Tuesday.
