Lady Cardinals advance to state

Shiner St. Paul advanced to the TAPPS 2A state tournament after defeating Huntsville Alpha Omega last Saturday in the regional championship game (25-20, 25-21, 25-21).

Stats include: Paige Brown three kills, one block, three digs; Grace Irvin six kills, nine digs; Riley Johnson five digs; Gracey Novosad 10 kills, one block, 17 digs, one ace; Delynn Pesek 10 kills, 10 digs; Cameron Pesek two kills, three blocks; Mallory Pokluda three kills, two digs; Christine Wagner two kills, 34 assists, 13 digs, one ace.

St. Paul will play Austin Waldorf in the state semifinal game on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Midway High School in Waco. The winner takes on the winner of Lubbock All Saints Episcopal and Red Oak Ovilla Christian on Friday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m.
