Ludonna Fay (Baron) Sievers Faglie

Ludonna Fay (Baron) Sievers Faglie died on August 2, 2020, at the age of 71. She was born on December 3, 1948, in Gonzales, Texas, to Olga E. Baron and Wilfred E. Baron.  

As a teenager, she loved horses and would often walk a mile to a neighbor’s house to ride one of their horses. She loved participating in the 4-H Horse Program as well as various rodeos. She also loved cooking a different dishes and arguably made the best homemade yeast rolls. In addition, she liked to play cards and dominoes when visiting family.

She became interested in nursing when she was a candy striper at the local Gonzales hospital, where her aunt was a nurse. This experience influenced her to enroll at the University of Texas Nursing program in Austin after graduating from Gonzales High School in 1967. She completed the vocational nursing program at Austin Community College in 1969 and found a job at Breckenridge General Hospital in Austin working long hours on the Cardiac floor of the hospital. 

She married William “Andy” Sievers in 1968 and had one son William Aaron Sievers. She married Greg Faglie in 2002 and enjoyed seven years together. She is survived by her son Aaron, sister Cara Nell Decker and husband John; brother Robert Layton Baron and wife Carolyn; niece LeAnn Hurt and husband Stephen; one great niece, Alexis Stanfield, and one great nephew, Steven Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Greg, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred E. Baron of Gonzales.  

When you think of Ludonna, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
